We’re Proud to Be Nominated — Again!

We’re honored to announce that Excargo has been nominated for the second year in a row as one of the Top Companies for Women to Work in Transportation.

This national recognition celebrates companies that go above and beyond to support women in the transportation industry — offering work-life balance, competitive compensation, career development, and inclusive workplace practices.

As a woman-owned company, this nomination means a lot — and your vote can help us officially earn a spot on this year’s list!

Voting is open now through Friday, June 27.

Thank you for your continued support — we’re proud to be building a stronger, more inclusive industry together.

Funding Secured for Ship Channel Improvements

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has released its FY25 workplan, allocating $33 million for the construction of Project 11—the Houston Ship Channel Expansion—and $98 million for operations and maintenance to keep the channel dredged and running efficiently. This funding supports continued growth and safe navigation in our region.

We’re days away from the WBEA Conference June 4-5, and Excargo is honored to join this milestone event for their 30th anniversary, where our CEO, Marcia Faschingbauer, will speak alongside fellow leaders advancing women-owned businesses.

Stop by our booth to meet the team, discuss how we can support your logistics and warehousing needs, and engage in meaningful connections focused on growth and partnership.

AI Agents Transforming Logistics Roles

As AI technology evolves, developers are rolling out AI-powered virtual agents and assistants that could transform the roles of freight brokers, dispatchers, and fleet managers. These advanced tools are built to automate key tasks, and in some cases, make decisions on their own, functioning like virtual team members.

Trump’s 90-Day China Tariff Pause

President Donald Trump’s agreement to reduce tariffs on China for 90 days is expected to trigger a surge of delayed cargo shipments and increase market volatility, experts say. Trump has used tariffs to push for better trade deals, setting a 10% baseline tariff for partners. China was targeted with threats up to 145%, but on May 12, both countries agreed to lower tariffs to 30% for the next 90 days.
