Excargo CEO Named SBA Small Business Person of the Year
We’re proud to announce that our President & CEO, Marcia Faschingbauer, has been named the 2025 Houston District SBA Small Business Person of the Year by the U.S. Small Business Administration!
This award recognizes Marcia’s outstanding leadership and the incredible growth of Excargo—from a modest office to an award-winning Houston supply chain company with nearly 200,000 sq. ft. near the Port of Houston.
As a Houston logistics leader, she has led Excargo to major gains in sales revenue, job creation, and operational capacity.
The award was presented at the SCORE/SBA Awards Luncheon on May 8 in Houston. Thanks to our team, affiliates and loyal customers to make this happen.
To improve traffic flow and safety, new signage and delineators have been installed along Port Road at the Bayport outgate exit lane.
Beginning Monday, April 14, 2025, Port Police will be on-site issuing warnings for violations. Continued failure to comply with posted signs or parking regulations may result in restricted access to container terminals. Drivers should avoid parking in the drive lane and follow all posted signage.
Temporary tariff exemptions for electronics like smartphones and laptops were announced on April 11, but U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick clarified they’re only a stopgap. A new, more targeted tariff plan focused on the semiconductor industry is in the works. Despite the announcement, officials, including former President Trump, emphasized the exemptions won’t fully shield consumer electronics from tariff impacts.

The estimated street value of the drugs was $694,900. This discovery highlights the ongoing challenges law enforcement faces in combating drug smuggling through commercial vehicles.
President Trump is proposing a $1 million fee for each entry of Chinese-operated or Chinese-built ships into U.S. ports. The move aims to pressure global shipping giants and boost the U.S. shipbuilding industry, potentially impacting nearly all major carriers involved in global trade.
