At Excargo, we keep our finger on the pulse of what’s happening in Houston at the ports, on the roads, and in the industry.

Port of Houston

9/13/21 6:00pm Update: Due to the expected tropical storm all Port Houston terminals, including the Barbours Cut and Bayport Container Terminals and the Turning Basin terminal, will remain closed Tuesday morning.

Do you like writing? Are you good at telling a story? Do you like history in the making, courage, intrigue and the living story of the town that built the port that built the Bayou City? The story of the Houston Ship Channel goes back nearly 200 years…

9/13/21 11:15am Update: Due to tropical storm weather, Port Houston Container terminals will cease ingate operations at 3pm today and remain closed through tomorrow morning. We're monitoring conditions and will communicate about a possible noon Tuesday reopening by 6pm today.

9/13/21 8:15 am: We are monitoring Tropical Storm Nicholas very closely. At this time, the terminals will open and operate as scheduled. If any decisions are made to close the terminals, we will be sure to communicate as quickly as possible.

The threat for Excessive Heavy Rain will continue across much of SE TX today. Updated guidance has the southern third of the area under a HIGH RISK for excessive rain as #TSNicholas approaches. #GLSwx #HOUwx #TXwx

Tips from our Deputy EMC @DisasterPIO:
1. Watch the forecast for updates
2. Follow trusted sources
3. Stay off the roads this evening

We agree with our friends Eric & Matt at @SpaceCityWX. The best plan is to remain off the roads in the #Houston area from around 6:00pm Monday through the middle of Tuesday.

Keep an eye on trusted sources this week, friends. Stay safe.
