TSMA Announces Winners of its Annual Communications Award Competition

Competition Honors Sales and Marketing Achievements in the Transportation Industry

Peachtree City, GA - April 8, 2003 - The Transportation Sales & Marketing Association (TSMA) today announced the winners of its 2003 Communications Award Competition. The annual competition recognizes transportation professionals for their outstanding achievements in sales and marketing promotion.

The Communications Award Competition is an opportunity to showcase a company's advertising and marketing talents while competing with similar firms from across the United States and Canada. A panel of professional advertisers, artists and designers provides evaluations and critiques of each entry. Entrants use this valuable information to help them develop future marketing strategies and advertising pieces.

“This was my second year as a judge for the competition, and I saw an incredible improvement over last year,” said Daniel Crowder, founding partner of Monumental Interactive, a tactical interactive communications firm. “It’s great to see companies within a specialized industry working together to better themselves.”

Judging for the competition was based on the overall effectiveness of each entry, how well the entry met the stated objective within its category, and how its success compared to other entries within the category. To ensure a fair and relevant competition, entries were compared with entries from companies of similar size and resources. Each entrant was placed within one of two revenue categories: “A” for annual revenue below $75 million and “B” for annual revenue of more than $75 million.
