SUBJECT:     Severe Weather Schedule

Please be advised that the terminal will be closed on 1-28-14 due to the severe winter weather forecast and the unsafe driving conditions that are expected.

The terminal will have modified hours of operation on 1-29-14 with a gate expected open time of 1300hrs and a closing time of 2200hrs. The terminal will close for the meal hour between 1700 to 1800hrs.

We will be monitoring the weather and road conditions closely and will provide updates if the schedule changes.

Also please be advised that on Maersk or Safmarine demurrage issues that you need to contact the Line and not the terminal. If the demurrage issue is related to APL, HYU, MOL you can contact APMT.

The Port of Houston Authority’s executive offices will be closed on Tuesday, January 28, 2014.
An announcement will be made no later than 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 28 concerning the status of the executive offices for Wednesday, January 29.

Please monitor social media and http://www.portofhouston.com/ for updates on the status of all Port of Houston Authority facilities.

Due to the winter weather forecast and the unsafe driving conditions expected in the Houston area for Tuesday, 1/28/2014, The Turning Basin truck office will NOT be opening at 7:00 a.m. for commercial truck traffic. At this time, we are expecting to open the Truck Office at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday. A message will be updated no later than 11:00 a.m. Tuesday morning, on social media and http://www.portofhouston.com/ advising gate operating hours.

We will be monitoring the weather and road conditions closely throughout the night and morning to ensure that we minimize the drivers on the roads during the icy weather.

Excargo’s Staff will be available Tuesday, January 28 during normal business hours to assist customers via email or over the phone. In the event that the severe weather makes for unsafe driving conditions, our dispatch team will work with our drivers to ensure the safe delivery of cargo as well as the drivers’ personal safety.
At this time without assurance of the true severity of the weather tomorrow our Customer Service team is preparing now to ensure appointment times and cut offs are affected as little as possible.
